Join us in congratulating Honorary Professor Chris McAuliffe and Dr Raquel Ormella for their recent achievement securing an ARC Linkage Projects grant.

The CASS scholars have been awarded $400,596 in funding to support proactive engagement with controversial objects in Australian museums.

They will partner with the Art Gallery of Ballarat, Eureka Centre and Federation University Australia in a project titled “Dialogue with Difficult Objects: Mediating Controversy in Museums”.

The ANU-led project will develop a transferable framework capable of equipping museums with resources to counter social fragmentation. The team will come up with innovative strategies to promote diversity and tolerance in museum exhibitions, publications and educational resources.
